Annelie is a pianist and composer from Rotterdam (NL). Growing up in a music-filled home, she started playing the saxophone at the age of 7 and strongly felt the need to join an orchestra at a young age. This is where she evolved her taste of melancholic and instrumental music.
In recent years, she has been busy lending her vocal talents and instrumental proficiency to other artists. But on her own album, she chooses to explore the limitations of a single instrument and goes back to where it all started.
Her debut album 'After Midnight' is recorded at home: you only hear the individual, the instrument and the environment in which the music came to be.
